Hello! I’m Ellen, photographer and owner of Ellen D. Photography, est. 2012.
I specialize in documentary style newborn, family and senior portraits, capturing authentic moments and genuine connections. I also photograph events, documenting the joy, energy, and fleeting moments that makes gatherings unforgettable. At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: life, love and beauty are worth celebrating!
I currently reside in beautiful Lake City, MN, with my wonderful husband of 15 years and three young children. We have cherished restoring our century home, being part of a wonderful community, and embracing all the natural beauty and tranquility the area has to offer. Beyond photography, I play piano, garden, run a crochet business & Etsy Shop, and am passionate about creating and seeing beauty in everyday life. Our family loves to travel, cook together, camp, and adventure together.
While my current location provides an incredible backdrop for photos, I am more than happy to travel! I photographed primarily in the Minneapolis area for over 6 years and continue to provide photography for the Twin Cities, Rochester and everywhere in between.
